We at Churrasco Shop are going to give you two options for autumn skewers,
- A vegan one.
And
- A vegetarian one.
Currently, it is still not too cold and it can be done in our backyard. We are going to buy sweet potatoes, squash, and butternut squash. You can put the vegetarian BBQ skewers above the grill and turn it around. Hovering the vegetables above the file will keep the moisture in. It will keep the food from burning.
When they are cooked thoroughly, you can start to peel and cut your vegetables. Put them into cube-shaped pieces. Once done put them in a bowl and marinate with the dressing.
The recipe is very simple:
- 5 tablespoons of olive oil
- 6 tablespoons of honey
- 2 tablespoons of kosher salt
- 2 tablespoons of black pepper
- 1 tablespoon of garlic salt
- Half teaspoon of cumin.
If you want you can also use the dressing to marinate the vegetarian BBQ skewers before putting them to the fire. Marinating the skewers before the BBQ will give the vegetables more flavor. The only issue is that you have to be much more attentive when cooking them because the honey has sugar and it can burn easily when cooking.
Health Benefits Of Vegetarian BBQ Skewers
Pumpkins besides being a rich and sweet food, it is a food that provides numerous benefits to take care of your health. This is due to its high content of vitamins A, B and C, as well as minerals (cobalt, boron, zinc, calcium, magnesium, iron, and potassium). It is ideal for diabetics, since it regulates blood sugar.
Pumpkins are rich in fiber, which slows the rate of digestion. Pumpkins make you feel satisfied longer. There are seven grams of fiber in a canned pumpkin cup. That is more fiber than you would get in two slices of whole grain bread. The sweet potato is also very good and better for you then the standard white potato. It has vitamin A, which is very good for our liver, heart, and for our health in general. I left out a curious fact, the sweet potato is one of the fundamental foods in the diet of the city of Okinawa , Japan. Okinawa holds the title of the long lived citizens in the world.
